Brandon Curtis Wins PBA AMF Towson Lanes Open for Fourth Career Title

Towson, Md. – Brandon Curtis of Manson, N.C., compiled a 5-3 match play record and a 15-game total of 3,446 pins to win the PBA AMF Towson Lanes Open on Sunday.

Curtis, a regular in the PBA South Region, led qualifying by 69 pins. After a strong start in match play, he struggled with 163 and 178 games and lost the lead to Steven Arehart of Chesapeake, Va. with only three games remaining. Curtis recovered his form and closed with 269, 223 and 213 to earn his fourth PBA Regional Title, his first in the East Region. Arehart retained the runner-up spot while Alex Cavagnaro of Massapequa, N.Y. and Michael Ruben of Seldon, N.Y. followed.

With the win, Curtis earned $2,200 and extended his winning streak to three consecutive seasons with at least one PBA Regional title. Arehart earned $1,300 as the runner-up. Alex Cavagnaro of Massapequa, N.Y. earned $1,100 for finishing third, while Michael Ruben of Selden, N.Y. finished fourth and earned $960.

The next stop in the PBA East Region schedule is the PBA Bowlero Wilmington Open in Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday, October 4.
