Parker Bohn III Breaks Qualifying Record, Leads Super Senior Classic
Las Vegas, Nevada – A day after posting the third highest six-game total at the 2026 USBC Super Senior Classic, Parker Bohn III established a 12-game qualifying record. The USBC and PBA Hall of Famer shot 212, 227, 237, 279, 227 and 266 for a total pinfall of 2,977. He beat the previous record set last year by Finland’s Timo Raatikainen by 50 pins.
Bohn III, who is averaging 248 for the tournament, is followed by fellow left-hander John Marsala, who had the highest six-game block of the day on Friday at 1,515. Marsala’s round included 228, 289, 218, 279, 202 and 299. His two-day total is 2,916.
Timo Raatikainen, a right-hander, is the highest A-squad bowler on the leaderboard. He is in third place with 2,824. Dennis Horan Jr. is in fourth at 2,803 and Tom Adcock in fifth place at 2,787.
After 12 total games, the field was cut to the top 52 at the end of qualifying. The final player to make the cut was Curt Guinn of Hodges, South Carolina, at 2,573.
They will bowl six games in the cashers’ round on Saturday starting at noon ET with total pinfall for 18 games to determine the top 12. Those bowlers will be split into two match-play groups. Group 1 will include the odd seeded bowlers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11) while Group 2 will be the even seeds. They will bowl six head-to-head matches within their group starting at 6 p.m. ET Saturday, ending with a final position round. Thirty bonus points go to the winners of each match.
The highest score with bonus pins in each group will earn automatic spots in Sunday’s stepladder finals. The player with the most overall total pins will be the No. 1 seed, while the other group leaders will be each group’s No. 2 seed.
The third and fourth players in each group will bowl one game head-to-head. The winner will then bowl the player in second. Those final two winners will take on each other in the first match of the stepladder finals, scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday. Watch all of the action on BowlTV.
