Shawnee, Okl. – Jason Couch earned himself a win at the 2026 Monacelli Championship and now he is leading the way at the 2026 PBA50 FireLake Classic.

The Florida native averaged 261 on Saturday with games of 279, 299, 213, 267, 269 and 239 for a total block of 1,566 pins. Combine that with his score on Friday and he is on top with 2,971. 

Tom Hess, who has won two titles this season, enjoyed bowling inside FireLake Bowling Center. He piled on the strikes for 268, 236, 248, 247, 269 and 169 for 2,883. He is 88 pins behind Couch.  

Michael Hartter has 2,865 in third place followed closely by Mark Dillard in fourth with 2,862. Chris Barnes, who led on day one, is fifth with 2,852. 

At the end of qualifying the final bowler to make the cut into the top 32 was left-hander Anthony Crews with 2,636. They will now move into the Advancers Round at 10 a.m. Eastern on Sunday with all pins carrying forward. After five games, the top 24 will compete in bracket match play. All pins will drop. The Round of 24 will start at 2 p.m. ET with qualifiers 9-24. All matches are best of three. 

The winners, along with the top eight qualifiers, will bowl in the Round of 16 followed immediately by the Round of 8. The four undefeated players and the highest seeded eliminated bowler in the Round of 8 will be in the stepladder finals scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Sunday.
