The 2025 BowlTV PBA Regional Players Invitational (RPI) field has grown by 10 following automatic-qualifier events in the PBA Midwest and South Regions.

Four PBA and six PBA50 division players earned the right to compete in the regional tour’s end-of-season tournament with their placement in their region’s RPI qualifier tournament.

The RPI will take place Dec. 11-14 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev.

PBA Midwest

A trio of two-handed southpaws will represent the Midwest Region in Reno, including 2025 Harry Golden PBA Rookie of the Year runner-up Cam Crowe.

Crowe advanced to the stepladder finals of the PBA Strike N Spare 2 Midwest BowlTV RPI Qualifier along with top seed and eventual champion Kris Prather, Justin Knowles and Kevin McCune. Each of the three other finalists are ineligible for the RPI.

Finishing just outside the stepladder were Spencer Robarge and Ryan Burton, the region’s Player and Rookie of the Year in 2024. Robarge, the 2021 PBA Junior Boys National Champion and USBC Masters finalist, joined the PBA earlier this year after finishing his collegiate career at Wichita State.

Darin Bloomquist, a one-handed righty, earned the region’s fourth and final automatic RPI berth.

PBA50 Midwest

Tom Hess continued his dominant regional season by winning the PBA50 Strike N Spare 2 Midwest BowlTV RPI Qualifier, but his exploits on the PBA50 Tour rendered him ineligible for the RPI.

Instead, Ron Hurt, Scott Merritt and Jeff Johnson will take a hiatus from Big Ten country for Reno this December. (Although the Big Ten conference now includes teams from New Jersey and the Pacific Northwest, so basically the whole country is Big Ten country… anyways, you get the point.)

PBA50 South

The top three finishers in the South Region, Dennis Killough, Richard Blackmon and Kip Roberts, each secured their berth in the season finale.

Killough earned the title with a dominant 216-166 victory over Blackmon in the title match. Roberts led the field with a 222 average, but bowed out in the semifinals to Blackmon, losing 231-222.

The first four players to secure their spot in the RPI were Alex Horton, Joe Paluszek, Andrew Hall and Andrew Suscreba out of the PBA East Region.

Ten additional players clinched their RPI berths earlier this month out of the PBA Central and Southwest regions.

Then last month, another 10 players from the East and Northwest regions solidified their automatic invites.

Qualifiers from the PBA Sweden, Japan and China regions will be announced soon.

The final RPI qualifier events — each in the West Region — are scheduled for this weekend in Las Vegas.
