The first of 14 qualifier events for the 2025 BowlTV PBA Regional Players Invitational (RPI) was held this past weekend at Mid County Lanes and Entertainment in Middletown, Del.

The RPI will take place Dec. 11-14 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev. The end-of-season tournament for the PBA and PBA50 Regional Tours will ultimately include 100 PBA and 49 PBA50 division players.

The first four players to secure their spot in the RPI were Alex Horton, Joe Paluszek, Andrew Hall and Andrew Suscreba, who were the top finishers in the PBA East Region BowlTV RPI Qualifier presented by Bally's Dover Casino Resort.

Paluszek led the eight-game qualifying round and maintained his lead for 15 of 16 games of round-robin match play.

But Horton, a two-handed righty, kept chipping away. He trimmed Paluszek’s lead to just eight pins entering the position round.

Horton seized the lead and the title with a 257-206 win in the tournament's final game.

Next on the docket is the PBA50 Southwest Region RPI qualifier this weekend in Waxahachie, Texas.
