PRIZE FUND: Prize fund is based on a field of 108. 4:1 payout ratio for the Detroit Open and 9:1 payout ratio for the animal pattern events.

SELECTION AND QUALIFICATION PROCESS FOR  THE 2017 DHC JAPAN INVITATIONAL

The top ten PBA players on the PBA Fall Swing aggregate money list will receive invitations to the 2017 DHC PBA Japan Invitational.

NOTE:  If the leading female bowler is among the top ten (10) earnings leaders, one (1) additional bowler from the earnings list will be invited. If a PWBA-PBA Women’s member is not among the top ten in money earned, the invitation will go to the highest-finishing woman in the Detroit Open.

The 2016 DHC PBA Japan Invitational Defending Champion (Amleto Monacelli) will automatically receive an invitation.

Three (3) sponsor selections and 1 Korea Professional Bowlers Association (KPBA) selection will also receive invitations to round out the 16 player international field:

 
  • 10 From the aggregate Fall Swing money list

  • 03 Sponsor nominations

  • 01 Defending Champion (Amleto Monacelli)

  • 01 Highest finishing female PBA or PWBA member

  • 01 KPBA (Korea)

These 16 international bowlers will join 16 Japan bowlers to complete the 32 player DHC PBA Japan Invitational field.
