The Professional Bowlers Association has announced a series of 7 Xtra Frame PBA Tour Storm Cup events for the 2017 season. The new Xtra Frame PBA Tour Storm Cup series will offer a $20,000 first prize to the competition points leader, plus additional cash prizes of $10,000 for second place, $8,000 for third, $7,000 for fourth and $5,000 for fifth place. In each Xtra Frame PBA Tour Storm Cup event, the winning player will earn 25 points toward the end-of-series bonus. Second place will earn 19 points, third place 18 points, fourth place 17 points, etc., down to 20th place, which will be worth one point. Players can enter the Xtra Frame PBA Tour Storm Cup events by visiting pba.com and clicking on the Schedules tab to find the appropriate event under the PBA Tour link. Each Xtra Frame PBA Tour Storm Cup event will award a PBA Tour title to the winner and a minimum $10,000 first prize. Additionally, courtesy of Storm, an additional $2,500 ($20,000 in all) will be added to each of the eight Xtra Frame Storm Cup, tournament prize funds.
