The first PBA ELITE Regional Tour event got off to a successful start last week in the East Region and now it’s the South and Northwest Regions turn. Rocky Mount Bowling Center is Rocky Mount, Va., is the first host in the South.

Nearly 100 bowlers are on the roster, including Nick Pate, Nate Garcia and Trevor Roberts. There is an intriguing contingent of Savannah College of Art and Design teammates seeking a pathway to the National Tour. In the mix are twin brothers Griffin and Landin Jordan, Aidan Furukawa, Kayden Lagana and Dante Romero. Notable seniors in the field include James Campbell, Dan Knowlton, Jon Rakoski and Randy Weiss.

There are two squads with qualifying starting at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern on Saturday. After those seven games, the top third of the field in standard and senior division will advance. At 9 a.m. ET on Sunday, they will bowl a four-game advancers round to determine the eight bowlers competing in round-robin match play in both divisions, which is scheduled to begin at noon.

Overall, the PBA and PBA50 player with the highest pinfall total will win their division. The pattern for this tournament is 37 feet.

NORTHWEST

As for the Northwest Region, bowlers will be competing at Westy’s Garden Lanes in Garden City, Idaho. Familiar names to keep an eye on are four-time PBA Tour champion, 2025 PBA50 Rookie of the Year and two-time PBA50 champ Tom Daugherty, nine-time PBA Tour champion Marshall Kent, Dallas Leong, Chase Nadeau, Jake Peters and Riley Woodard.

Seven games of qualifying will start at noon ET before cutting to the top third in the field. Those bowlers will return at 10 a.m. EST on Sunday for four games in the advancers round. The top 8 in the standard and senior division will bowl round-robin match play to determine a winner for each division. The oil pattern for the first Northwest Regional is 48 feet.  

The top 5 non-PBA Tour priority finishers in every PBA ELITE Regional Tour event earn an automatic berth into the PBA Regional Players Invitational in December. At that prestigious tournament, three priority status positions on the 2027 PBA Tour will be rewarded.

All rounds of qualifying for every PBA ELITE Regional Tour will be livestreamed on BowlTV or Bowling TV, a free, ad-supported channel.
