Parker Bohn III Earns No. 1 seed Entering USBC Senior Masters Match Play
Las Vegas, Nevada – Parker Bohn III’s record-breaking week in the 2025 USBC Senior Masters continues. On Wednesday, he broke the 10-game USBC Senior Masters scoring record then on Thursday, he broke the 15-game scoring record he actually set in 2017 by eight pins. The USBC and PBA Hall of Famer has yet to roll a game under 200 while averaging 248.33 at Sam Town’s Bowling Center to claim the No. 1 overall seed. During Thursday’s final day of qualifying, Bohn III posted scores of 256, 237, 214, 279 and 200 for 3,725 to get to +725.
PBA50 Tour rookie Tom Daugherty has gotten better each round. After starting off with 1,136 he added 1,260 then 1,263 for 3,659, just 66-pins behind Bohn III. The third consecutive C-squad bowler sitting in third place is Tom Adcock at +626. Two pins behind Adcock is John Janawicz in fourth place. Mika Koivuniemi has been consistent all week averaging 237.67 to get to fifth place. He is 59-pins behind Janawicz.
There were two perfect games rolled on the final day of qualifying by Arizona’s Brian Waugh and Missouri’s John Marsala. That game helped Waugh jump into 10th place. At the completion of qualifying, there was a tie for the final spot at +277 between Darryl Bower, of Middleton, Pennsylvania and Jodey Rees, of Renton, Washington. They bowled a complete game and Rees won to earn the No. 63 seed. Defending champion Jon Rakoski will be the No. 64 seed, so he will face Bohn III as the No. 1 seed.
