PBA Jr. to Sponsor Never Give Up Scholarship at 2022 Storm Youth Championships
New York, NY – PBA Jr., the Professional Bowlers Association’s youth club for bowlers under age 18, is excited to announce a new partnership with Storm during the 2022 Storm Youth Championship tournaments.
PBA Jr. will sponsor a Never Give Up Scholarship at each of the Storm Youth Championships during the 2022 season that will equate to a total of $5,400 in SMART scholarship funds. $100 will be awarded in each age division to the youth bowler with the highest five game total during the final round of the tournament.
“The PBA is dedicated to growing the sport at all levels and the PBA Jr. Never Give Up Scholarship was created in an effort to encourage kids to never give up,” said Mike Sledz, PBA Director of Membership. “Even if they performed poorly on Saturday, they have an opportunity to come back and win on a Sunday.”
“Storm is proud to work closely with the PBA and PBA Jr., initiatives,” Gary Hulsenberg, Vice President of Community Relations said. “Both organizations are focused on the future and growing the sport of bowling, so it’s a natural fit. The PBA Jr. Never Give Scholarship is just one more example of how Storm and the PBA are supporting youth bowling and providing additional opportunities to all youth athletes.”
The PBA Jr. Never Give Up Scholarship will be available at all nine 2022 Storm Youth Championship events.
