Bowlers of all skill levels around the world can participate in new monthly Showdown competitions beginning with the PBA World Series of Bowling Showdown on February 14

New York, NY – After the success of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and Lanetalk’s first-ever Global Showdown in 2021, the two are excited to introduce a newly expanded tournament format and announce the 2022 Showdown Tour powered by Lanetalk.

The 2022 Showdown Tour will feature nine tournaments held throughout the calendar year at hundreds of United States and International participating host centers enabled with Lanetalk. Bowlers of all skill levels are encouraged to join for free.

“The PBA is thrilled to introduce the 2022 Showdown Tour and host events nearly every month in partnership with Lanetalk this year,” said, Lev Ekster, Chief Strategy Officer of Bowlero Corp and Chief Operating Officer of the PBA. “In 2021, we saw tremendous success with more than 13,500 participants bowling in over 27 countries. We had an opportunity to create more events for bowlers around the world and look forward to seeing who will compete this year.”

Kicking off the official 2022 Showdown Tour on February 14 is the PBA  World Series of Bowling Showdown powered by Lanetalk. The tournament, hosted around the Guaranteed Rate PBA World Series of Bowling, will also feature an exciting new format with the winner being determined by the final score of the PBA World Championship title match.

How to win – bowlers will submit a two consecutive game score that will need to be as close as possible, without going over, to the combined score of the two finalists in the PBA World Championship title. The Championship finals will air live on Fox Sports’ FS1 Sunday, March 13 and 1 p.m. ET.

The qualifying period will take place from February 14 – March 12, and during those 27 days, bowlers will have an unlimited number of attempts to bowl and submit their two consecutive game score to win the first-place prize of $2,000. The tournament is open to bowlers of all skill levels, ages 18+ at over 500 registered host centers in the United States and internationally.

A list of local registered host centers is available at pba.com/showdown and will be updated as new centers join the Showdown.
