The PBA Tour’s summer regional swing changes course from Tornado Alley to the Midwest this weekend. The PBA Bowlerstore.com Classic presented by Moxy's Xtra Pair tournament will take place on August 12-14 in Coldwater, Ohio.

The 96-player field will look different than last year’s event, where top-seeded Darren Tang defeated Kyle Troup to win his first career PBA Tour title.

While Tang nor Troup will be in action, an abundance of PBA stars will be competing for the regional title and $10,000 top prize.

The tournament roster features former PBA Player of the Years Andrew Anderson, Wes Malott and EJ Tackett, as well as PBA major titleists Tom Daugherty, Graham Fach and Tom Smallwood.

Four recent PBA regional champs Jason Cornog, Patrick Dombrowski, Fach and Trevor Roberts will look to stay hot, as will Lubbock super regional winner Ildemaro Ruiz Jr.

Athletes will be competing on the 38’ Marshall Holman oil pattern at Pla-Mor Lanes, a center that has given bowlers fits in the past.

On Saturday, players will each bowl eight games of qualifying. The top third will advance to the cashers round.

Advancers will bowl four games on Sunday morning, with the top-16 moving on to the next round. After three more games, the field will be cut to eight players. Finally, two more games will dictate the four stepladder finalists.

The finals, which will be live-streamed on the PBA’s YouTube channel, are scheduled for 5 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
