Las Vegas, Nevada – The successful PBA50 rookie season for Tom Hess continues after two-days of qualifying at the 2021 USBC Senior Masters.

Hess had games of 236, 215, 222, 235 and 224 on Wednesday for a 10-game total of 2,343 as he leads the pack. The Iowa native is averaging 234.30.

Walt Blackston is keeping his name toward the top of the leaderboard as well. He shot 200, 234, 227, 244 and 187 to increase his total to 2,289, which puts him in 2nd. Parker Bohn III had back-to-back consistent blocks this time with 1,122 to bring his total to 2,263, sitting in 3rd.

David Leverage posted 1,090 for a total pinfall of 2,249 to drop into 4th place. Chris Barnes and John Gould are tied for 5th with 2,203.

Amleto Monacelli began his day in 74th but quickly moved up after a three-game series of 743. He finished with games of 201 and 199 for an overall total of 2,134. As the defending champion, he automatically advances to the top 64.

Walter Ray Williams Jr. made a big move from 128th to 32nd place to keep himself in contention.

The final day of qualifying is Thursday. First up is the C squad starting at 11 a.m. EST, followed by the A squad at 3 p.m. EST and the B squad begins at 7 p.m. Eastern.

After qualifying, the field of 220 will then be cut to the top 64 players. They will advance to day four, which marks the start of double-elimination match play. You can watch all the action live on BowlTV.com.
