Glenn Smith Wins First PBA50 Regional Title in PlyGem Rocky Mount Virginia South Open
Rocky Mount, Va. –Glenn Smith of New York defeated Greg McMahan of Dandridge, Tenn., 245-212, to win his first PBA Regional title in the PBA50 PlyGem Rocky Mount, Virginia South Open at Rocky Mount Bowling Center on Sunday.
Smith started the championship match with two nine-counts followed by four consecutive strikes, while McMahan started with a spare and four consecutive strikes. After a split in the sixth frame, McMahan lost his shot and failed to defend off Smith.
Smith earned $2,000 for the win, while McMahan earned $1,100 for his second-place effort.
The PBA South Region’s next tournament will be the PBA/PBA50 Decker Appraisal Doubles South Open in Bristol, Va., on Nov 5-7, 2021.
