Oxford, Pa. – Hall of Famer Walter Ray Williams, Jr. of Oxford, Fla., added to his career PBA Title record when he scored an 88-pin victory over Troy Lint of Blandon, Pa. to win the PBA50 Timber Lanes Open on Sunday.

Williams, the winningest bowler in PBA history, compiled a 5-2-1 match play record and a 16-game total of 4,106 pins to score the victory. The win was the 21st PBA50 Regional title for Williams, who also owns 47 PBA Tour titles, 15 PBA50 Tour titles, and 30 standard PBA Regional Tour titles. Ironically, this was his first PBA win of the 2021 season as he had finished runner-up in each of the three most recent events that he competed in.

Lint, who is a second-year PBA member, had his best singles finish of his career as the runner-up. He won his first regional title a week earlier when he won a doubles event in the Central Region.

Williams earned $1,800 for the win, while Lint earned $1,050 as the runner-up.

The PBA East Region travels to Aberdeen, N.J. next for the PBA AMF Strathmore Lanes Open on Saturday, Oct. 24.
