Aberdeen, N.J. – Anthony Neuer of Milton, Pa., captured his first PBA Regional Tour title on Saturday winning the PBA AMF Strathmore Lanes Open. Neuer compiled a 7-1 match play record and a 15-game total of 3,479 pins to score a 68-pin victory over Jake Rollins of Glen Rock, N.J.

Neuer, son of PBA Tour champion Andy Neuer, was a dominant youth bowler, winning the Junior Gold championships not once, but twice. After cashing a week earlier as a non-member entry, Neuer decided to join the PBA making his win on Saturday an official PBA title. The win also earned him $2,500.

For Rollins, this marked his second consecutive runner-up finish and $1,325. Tim Foy Jr. of Seaford, Del., Anthony Pepe of Long Island City, N.Y. and Troy Lint of Blandon, Pa. rounded out the top five.

Next weekend, the PBA East Region travels to New England for the PBA/PBA50 New England Over/Under Doubles presented by buddiesproshop.com, Cambridge Credit Counselling and TechVision.

The event combines one bowler aged 50 and above with one bowler under the age of 50. It’s being held at Bowlero Wallingford in Wallingford, Conn with qualifying on Saturday, October 31 and the finals on Sunday, November 1.
