Marshall Holman rolled to his 19th PBA victory with a 266-217 win over Amleto Monacelli in the title game of the Kodak Invitational. The demonstrative Holman, obviously buoyed by the enthusiastic crowd, was the leading qualifier in the tournament and made the most of his one-game championship opportunity by opening the title game with a six-bagger. NBC Television cameras zeroed in on the five-man finals, with Mike Aulby winning the first game from Bob Handley, 256-245. Aulby then lost to Monacelli, 255-192. Monacelli's next opponent was Harold Sullins, appearing in his first televised finals, and he just couldn't match Monacelli, losing 213-167, to set the stage for the title match. The championship match was never really close as Holman opened with the six-bagger before he left the 7-10, then added five more strikes for the 266.
