Lou, EI Cajon. Calif., routed tournament leader Gip Lentine, 277-211, for the $15,000 first prize after he had bowled past Willie Willis, 191-178, Jeff Mattingly, 221-197; and Earl Anthony, 247-185. For the four matches Lou averaged 234 after coming from 14th place in the final round of match play to squeak into the finals by four pins and catching the fancy of the bowling minded St. Louis area fans.
