Roy Buckley continued a fine bowling streak carrying over from the Fall, when he rolled over four opponents to win the $65,000 ARC Alameda Open. Buckley defeated top-seeded Mark Roth in the championship game, 243-222, to win the first prize of $7,500. The tournament marked the seventh time in eight tournaments in which he has competed that Buckley has reached the top five. He won three of them, dating back to October. The pencil-slim Ohioan rolled up 925 pins for his four games-an average of 231 as he picked up his first title of the 1976 season, after finishing fourth a week ago in the $75,000 Ford Open at Arcadia, Calif., the '76 tour opener.
