Don Johnson took up in 1972 right where he left off in 1971 . . . as a winner. With a bowling-wise crowd at the Felt Forum in New York's Madison Square Garden looking on, Johnson topped George Pappas by a 233-224 count to take the $10,000 first place prize in the second annual BPAA U.S. Open.
