MIKE DURBIN, the 1967 "Rookie of the Year," won 14 of his 16 match games in the finals to run off with his third PBA championship in two years in the $30,000 El Paso Open.

Durbin's final count was 9,680 to runner-up Wayne Zahn's 9,581. Zahn won nine and lost seven.

Jim Stefanich rolled his third 300 game in four weeks and J. B. Blaylock knocked off his second lifetime perfecto.
