Soutar Grabs Denver

Dave Soutar from Detroit likes bowling in Colorado. Three years ago he came up with a big 739 on national television to win the Colorado Springs PBA Open.

And in this one, the $40,000 Denver Open, he measured top-seeded, hometown favorite George McDonald, 224-205, in the championship game to pick up the firstplace check for $6,000. It was Soutar's fourth PBA title in his professional career.

Soutar and Johnny Guenther picked up $100 a piece for 300 games.
