A lot of the boys may have come to play (in the casinos, that is) but Bob Collatos, a rookie lefthander was there to win the Las Vegas tournament. And, he did. Collatos, appearing in only his sixth tourney, won his last three match games to post a 78-pin victory over second-place Pete Tountas. The 22-year-old Californian's total was 8939. He won 11 and tied one for 575 bonus pins which was the best record of the tournament.
