Since 1950, John Archibald has covered the sport of bowling and PBA events, this garnering his spot in the Meritorious Service Category. Working in the sports department for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch until 1972, Archibald continues to write columns and feature stories about the PBA. In 1970 he was elected President of the Bowling Writers Association of America (BWAA) and still serves on its Board of Directors.
