Members of the media who wish to cover a PBA Tour event should request media credentials by contacting the PBA.
Email public relations with the following details:
Please send your request at least 10 days ahead of the date you plan to be on-site. Credentials will be available at the tournament site. Media relations telephone and numbers will be provided prior to each event and posted along with schedule information for each event on pba.com. Credentials must be worn at all times and are non-transferable. Unauthorized use of credentials may subject the bearer to ejection from the facility and forfeiture of the credential.
Stats and Tournament Information: Members of the media will find a working media room at each tournament site. Members of the media may obtain tournament entry lists, current PBA statistics and player biographies on pba.com and in the PBA Media Guide, also found on pba.com. Current stats will be available on pba.com under the "Bowlers" tab, and on-site for each event. The PBA will have complete tournament standings available after each round of competition.
Interviews: Current round leaders are required to report to the media room within 10 minutes of the completion of competition. The tournament winner and runner-up are also required to report to the media room immediately after the completion of the championship match. In some cases, interviews following the championship round may be conducted on the lanes immediately after the completion of the match. Other requests for player interviews on-site should be arranged through the PBA’s media relations staff.
Photography: For print photographers and television cameras, PBA rules require all photos and video during non-televised competition be taken from behind the competitors and with available light (no flash photography or camera lights). During the televised finals, photographers will be able to use a down-lane photo blind using television lighting. During practice sessions prior to every round, photographers are allowed down-lane to take photos and video facing the competitors and may use flash photography and lights. The PBA also maintains a comprehensive gallery of current head shots and action photos from each PBA Tour event in its Media Gallery. Access to the Media Gallery is available to all media outlets upon request.
Daily Results: The PBA’s media relations staff files daily stories with agate summaries after each day of competition with the Associated Press and through the PBA’s extensive e-mail address files and online on pba.com.
Members of the media who would like to be included in PBA e-mails should contact any PBA Media Relations representative.
The PBA issues a post-tournament story at the completion of each tournament. The story includes a final recap and final tournament standings, and is distributed through the Associated Press, the PBA’s e-mail network and online at pba.com.
