Pressure-packed strikes by both players in the 10th frame of the championship game of the $110,000 Greater Hartford Open resulted in a 235-227 victory for Tom Milton over Earl Anthony, giving Milton his second PBA win of the year. The crowd at Bradley Bowl buzzed in anticipation of a possible Anthony-Milton match, and it came off after non-champion Steve Wunderlich threatened to make an ail-out run at the title. Wunderlich, 25, first stopped veteran Mike Durbin, 214-187, and then toppled Pete McCordic, runnerup here last year, 225-203. Wunderlich then ran into Milton, and bowed, 245-190, setting the stage for the title game.
