Veteran southpaw Johnny Petraglia chalked up his second PBA title in four weeks in the $100,000 Midas Golden Challenge by beating two other lefthanders in the finals. The victory, number 13 for Petraglia, came at the expense of towering 6-6 Steve Cook who was also going for his second title of the year. Petraglia took care of Cook, 214-200, in the championship game after first edging past rookie Jim Poulos, 206-198. "I was fortunate. It was a good day for me," said Petraglia, explaining that Cook couldn't get fined up on the right lane while he was able to master it.
