Ritger's 20th

Dick Ritger became just the fourth bowler in PBA history to win as many as 20 PBA titles and captured his career's biggest single paycheck as he rolled past four opponents for the $15,000 first prize in the AMF MagicScore Open.

Ritger, a 40-year-old righthander, qualified fourth and defeated Dave Beckmann and Henry Gonzalez before meeting second-seeded Mark Roth. Forced to double in the 10th frame to win the semi-final match, Ritger came up with the must strikes to oust Roth, 248-237.

Ritger then defeated top-seeded Neil Burton in the championship game, 211-202.
