Marshall Holman celebrated his return to the professional bowling wars after a lengthy vacation when he won the $60,000 Northern Ohio Open over fast-closing Mark Roth. Holman's victory, his second of the season and seventh of his career, was the result of his winning seven of eight games during the final round of match play, including a position-round 235-224 triumph over David Ozio. But, it was Roth who almost overshadowed Holman's outstanding performance. The leading money winner on the tour was in fifth position going into that final game and he uncorked a 300 game against Jeff Mattingly, Tacoma, Wash., to vault all the way into second place behind Holman. 42-GAME TOTALS | | | Name, City | | Pins | | Avg | | WLT | | + | | Tot | | Amt | | | 1 | | Marshall Holman, Medford, Or. | | 9275 | | 220.83 | | 16-6-2 | | 510 | | 9785 | | $6,000 | | #2 | | Mark Roth, N.
