Roth's Birthday Party

Mark Roth celebrated his 27th birthday a couple of days early by winning the $8,000 top prize in the $70,000 Greater Hartford Open at Bradley Bowl in Windsor Locks, Conn.

Roth, winner of four titles on the 1978 Winter Tour, defeated Johnny Petraglia, 194-171, thus turning the tables on Petraglia, who beat Roth one week earlier in the Long Island Open enroute to that title.
