Rags Strikes Out

Breaking a string of six runnerup finishes, Johnny Petraglia buried Bill Spigner with a barrage of strikes to win the $100,000 BPAA U.S. Open.

The top-seeded Petraglia opened the title match with a strike and spare before finishing with 10 perfect shots en route to a 279-232 victory.

"I was starting to wonder if I'd ever win again." Petraglia said. "Those near misses were starting to get to me."
