Spunky Eddie Ressler took advantage of an open in the ninth frame by defending champion Dave Soutar to post a thrilling 224-222 victory in the title match of the $100,000 Miller High Life Open.

En route to earning a shot at the top-seeded Soutar, Ressler defeated three opponents in his climb to the top, including a 278-209 victory over Earl Anthony.
