King Louie Open

$75,000 KING LOUIE OPEN
King Louie West Lanes, Overland Park, Kan., Feb 15-19, 1977

Weber Is "King" Pin

Veteran Dick Weber pulled an assortment of shots from his championship bag as he won the $75,000 King Louie Open for his 26th career title.

The victim of Weber's four-game march to the title was top-seeded Gary Mage, who went down to a 227-191 defeat.

Mage opened in the second frame of the championship match, then got a brief respite in the fourth when Weber missed the 10 pin. But Mage's hopes of winning his second title fell by the wayside as Weber strung five strikes to clinch the $8.000 top prize.

Dave Heller rolled a 300 game during preliminary action.
