Asher On Fire

A relaxed Barry Asher thwarted Dave Soutar's bid for the $60,000 Tucson Home Box Office Open title by blasting the lanky pro, 265-184.

Soutar had toppled three opponents to reach the championship game against Asher, who was top-seeded into the finals. But Asher was unperturbed about Soutar's preliminary victories because he opened the championship set-to with five strikes, spared twice and then closed with five more strikes for an easy victory.
