Earl Anthony "bowled over" hometown favorite Art Trask in the finals of the $60,000 Fresno Home Box Office Open to notch his third win of the season and 23rd career title. Anthony eliminated Trask, 243-192, after Trask, who had not cashed in three previous PBA starts this year, ousted Paul Colwell, 214-153, to get into the title game. In the championship set-to Anthony opened with two spares, notched a four-bagger, chopped the five pin off a 3-5-6 "bucket." then finished with five consecutive strikes.
