The incredible streak of superb bowling unleashed by Earl Anthony, Tacoma, Wash., during the summer continued unabated as he rolled to his 18th Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) career victory in the $50,000 Jackson Open. The win was his fifth of the year and 11th in the last year and a half. Again, it wasn't even close. Anthony averaged almost 231 as he pulled away to a 192-pin margin over Ed DiTolla, Maywood, N.J. at the finish. Anthony also contributed to an output of six perfect games rolled by the pros at Jackson.
