Showboat Invitational

$100,000 SHOWBOAT INVITATIONAL
Showboat Hotel Lanes, Las Vegas, Nov., Jan 14-18, 1975

Showboat Carmen

"Who says that number 13 is unlucky?" The questioner was an exuberant Carmen Salvino, just minutes after he won the $100,000 Showboat Invitational.

Salvino, Chicago, Ill., had just overrun four opponents, including top-seeded Earl Anthony, Tacoma, Wash., in the championship game to win his 13th career title and a check for $14,000.

Salvino had added even further to his own confidence at the start of the tournament when he rolled a 300 game during qualifying play.
