Jim Stefanich, Joliet, Ill., captured his first title in four years by winning the $100,000 Showboat Invitational, in Las Vegas, Nev.

He topped Alex Seymore, Kannapolis, N.C., 223-201, in the championship game to earn $14,000 and run his official earnings for the year to an astounding $34,625 in just three weeks.
