Matt Surina unleashed a barrage of strikes to topple four opponents and win the $50,000 Brunswick Eastern Open at Bayside Lanes.

Surina, whose only previous title was a victory at South Bend, Ind., last year, totalled 1003 pins on winning games of 242-214-289 and 258 in his march to the title, upsetting top-seeded Dick Ritger in the championship game.
