McGrath Takes Thriller

Mike McGrath, who has developed a penchant for bowling well in New York, won a thriller there, topping Earl Anthony in the championship game of the $75,000 BPAA U.S. Open.

McGrath defeated Anthony, 234-222, to win the $7,500 first prize offered by the sponsoring Bowling Proprietors Association of America in the Bowling Center at Madison Square Garden.
