Holiday Bowl, Altoona, Pa., Sep 4-7, 1969

Weber Marks No. 19

Bowling's winningest professional, DICK WEBER, added No. 19 to his total in the Altoona Open. Weber gained his second victory of the 1969 campaign by defeating young Bobby Knipple, 203-170, in the final match of the tourney.

Weber almost was forced out of action before the tourney got under way by a stiff neck, but it "worked itself out" as he went to work. He held a 44-pin lead over Knipple going into the position round and needed a victory to keep the youthful Californian from gaining his first tournament title.
