Davis Out Of Slump

The Canadian Open in Montreal turned out to be the "slump-breaker" for DAVE DAVIS as 1967's Bowler of the Year entered the winner's circle for the first time since the fall of 1968. The Phoenix professional defeated Dave Soutar in the championship match, 202-183. Davis won the No. 1 seed in a tight race with Soutar and Skee Foremsky.

In the finals, Dick Ritger defeated Butch Gearhart, 223-194; Foremsky eliminated Ritger, 199-185, and Soutar gained the title match by toppling Foremsky, 203-175.
