JOE DIGNAM was the winner and Tim Harahan was the victim in the PBA Open at Huntsville, Ala. It was Dignam's initial PBA victory, having just joined the tour during the summer season and his third time he has cashed in his young career. Dignam held a slight 14-pin lead over Harahan going into the position round. A steady effort produced a 206-171 victory and a final win margin of 99 pins. Harahan finished second and Bill Allen wound up third. All three had match-game records of 10-6-0. Dignam's final qualifying game of 290 aided his cause. 40-GAME FINALS | | | Name, City/State | | Pins | | WLT | | + | | Tot | | Amt | | | 1 | | Joe Dignam, Edmonds, Wash. | | 8674 | | 10-6-0 | | 500 | | 9174 | | $3,000 | | 2 | | Tim Harahan, Canoga Park, Calif. | | 8575 | | 10-6-0 | | 500 | | 9075 | | 1,600 | | 3 | | Bill Allen, Fresno, Calif. | | 8541 | | 10-6-0 | | 500 | | 9041 | | 1,400 | | 4 | | Mike Orlovsky, Endicott, N.
