Hardwick In A Cakewalk
BILLY HARDWICK became the second winningest pro bowler in the history of the PBA as he cakewalked his way to the Ft. Worth Open championship. The victory was his fifth of the year, giving him 14 titles in seven years. This pushed him second only to Dick Weber's 18.
Hardwick led all the way, capturing the lead on opening day and holding it through an 11-4-1 match-game effort. He totaled 9753 pins, 180 in front of Don Johnson, who finished with 9573.
