Limongello Cougar King

The PBA's newest and biggest open tournament of 1968, the $75,000 Cougar Open, was won by Mike Limongello. The youthful New Yorker emerged from a tightlybunched field of 16 finalists to lead the 40-game qualifying and match game play and successfully staved off veteran Les Schissler of Denver, 225-183, in the championship game. $10,000 and a new Cougar sports car for Mike, $6,000 and use of a new Cougar for a year for Les.
