Allen Bounces Back

Bill Allen, the lefthander from Orlando, broke a three-year title drought when he led tile qualifying and match game play and then defeated another lefthander, Dave Davis, in the championship finale of the $55,000 Showboat Invitational.

Allen's $10,000 first-place check was his first winner since Buffalo in 1965.
