Tucker Tops At New Orleans

Bill Tucker, of Los Angeles, broke into the clear in the 11th game of the finals to capture his second PBA title of the year in the Lions Club New Orleans Open.

Billy Welu, who led the 24-game qualifier, Tucker and Tommy Tuttle were waging a tight fight for the lead before Tucker moved out in the 11th game.

Dave Davis, the leading money winner at this stage of the race, added $1,150 to his total to bring his earnings to $42,865. Jim Stefanich still was running second at $39,335.
