Five Titles For Davis

Dave Davis, of Phoenix, Ariz. scored his second title in as many weeks and fifth of the year when he took it all in the Nebraska Centennial Open at Omaha.

Thus Davis became the second man in the history of the PBA to win five championships in one year. Dick Weber turned the trick in 1961.

The $3,000 first place check gave Davis $40,665 for the year and enabled him to regain the lead in the money race over Jim Stefanich who wound up second by 40 pins in the Omaha tourney.
