Stefanich Regains Money Lead

Jim Stefanich, of Joliet, Ill. took over as the leading money winner on the PBA tour by capturing the $3,000 first place check in the Ft. Smith Open.

Stefanich took the tournament lead in the third round when he shot his highest six-game block of the week, a 1412, and never was headed.

The Firestone Tournament of Champions winner had $32,825 in the bank at this point. Dave Davis, who led going into the tourney, was relegated to second place with $31,830.
