Soutar Slips Past Zahn

Dave Soutar, of Detroit defeated Wayne Zahn, 197-192, to capture the Ft. Worth Open by three pins.

Soutar went into the championship match trailing Zahn by 52 pins. Neither pro could find the lanes with any consistency in the early going until Soutar finally struck out in the tenth frame to squeeze out his victory.

Bud Horn gave the fans something to shout about in the 19th game of the qualifier when he popped a 300 game.
